Now, COOL SMART has expanded Quality Installation Verification (QIV) offers on newly installed systems to include a new service called QIV Commissioning. Quality Installation Verification services can be performed for any new installation, regardless of SEER or rebates. This includes ENERGY STAR and non-ENERGY STAR systems.
QIV Commissioning - Details
Now, eligibility for QIV Commissioning of new units includes systems installed on or after April 1, 2005. Homeowners are able to receive a COOL SMART Certificate once in a five-year period. However, you can ask your contractor to provide QIV services each year, including third-party verification of results, so you enjoy increased system efficiency.
