What is QIV?
Quality Installation Verification (QIV) service checks for and reports on optimal refrigerant charge and system air flow. After a residential customer central A/C installation, a QIV participating technician tests the system and takes a series of measurements. COOL SMART provides a QIV certificate that is mailed to the customer, providing third-party verification that your technician properly adjusted charge and airflow.
Step One: Getting Started (or you can elect to go right to Step Two)
Sign up for a FREE one hour QIV Tool Demo. During this demonstration, two advanced diagnostics systems/tools will be presented: Check Me! By Proctor Engineering and the Honeywell Service Assistant (HSAT). At the end of the demo, we will work with you to help you decide which platform will best fit your company's needs.

Step Two: QIV Training
During this step, technicians complete COOL SMART-sponsored QIV training. As part of a limited time offer, training only costs $125. For hands-on instruction, you must have all the required equipment and indicate the QIV platform you will be using. QIV training must be completed prior to participating. Step Three: Enjoy the Perks!
After attending QIV training and performing three successful installations that pass the QIV standards, your training fee will be reimbursed, plus you will receive up to $150 toward the purchase of a digital thermometer or hot-wired anemometer. In addition, there is a QIV Incentive of $175 for each system which passes charge and airflow tests and is properly reported to COOL SMART.
